I also believe this is an original badge...

I thank you for your opinions. I have the same initial thoughts as Gunny but as I compare this example to others posted previously I have found they share these characteristics. Perhaps it is repainted and the paint applied softens the details? My curiosity has outweighed caution and I purchased the badge. I will post some of my own pics and perhaps it will allow for further review.

I always like this badges bought my first one for 5 marks in Wiesbaden Germany 20 years ago.
