Ok, I just noticed the link posted, very informative. Nice to see Nick passing on what he learned! I also see what is meant by the "notches". Kind of a dissapointment, but I will just have to enjoy finding another.
Glen, I think I got the Ostfront medal a year or two ago, then got the Two EK II's,Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Schwarz, and Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen at a yard sale... from there out I get a few here and there a year.

It a miserable feeling finding out you have bought a fake. It happens to us all sadly.
Run any other potential purchases by the guys here first just to make sure all is well.

Nice collection so far well done.
It’s a challenging hobby, I must admit I still really struggle to spot fakes, it,s like constantly playing spot the difference.

A great collection of awards Nathan. Except for the EK1, all are original so well done on that front. If you do a search for 'Floch' in the EK forum you will find plenty more to compare to. You're not the first and won't be the last to be taken by one of these crosses so don't be disheartened.

Thanks for all of the kind words and support guys! I guess if it had been a 600 dollar purchase, I may be more ruffled about it. Next time I will be more observant. I am glad everyone enjoyed my photo spread!
