The Badge I haven silver is over size to the correct one, this one is 46.16mm X 38.30mm could this one be a type 2 have been made by C.E.Junckers in the 1960s
The chance of it being original and in Australia is about 0%. Its details and finish look poor so i would say this is yet another copy or a very very rare badge.
It's a terribly bad fake.

If this were a original 1944 badge then it would be very very costly, and you would be a very lucky person.
There is an orginal example for sale at Weitze. 30,000 euro. "Only"
You said "made in 1960's".
So it means probably a souvenir badge.

Just miss the SS runes...
