Hi Guys, I was very kindly given this badge by a friend from Holland who only collects Soviet material. He got it in a job lot. It is a nice earlier production badge made of Tombak.

    Cheers, Ade.

Rather plain but, still a nice example Ade!

Any markings, maybe the underneath side of the pin?

A nice verwundetenabzeichen , I like it when the finish on the swastika has either been intentionally removed by the wearer as sometimes occurred or when it has worn away. Leon.

    Thanks guys.

I suspect the paint on the swastika was carefully and intentionally removed for a more dramatic effect. As already mentioned, this was sometimes done.

I need to try and discover the maker.

    Cheers, Ade.

Nice badge, the reverse setup looks similar as can be found on Wilhelm Hobacher ”32” and August Menzs & Sohn ”118” badges.
