    As a non Verwindetenabzeichen collector it looks fine for a Carl Wild Piece to my eyes but I'm sure a few others will chime in shortly.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    It's a good one by Wild, they made several variant set ups of their wound badges, and this one is fairly common, the so called 'Big Hinge' type.

    I agree, original Carl Wild silver in decent condition other than the catch.

    I'm guessing that whoever had it was kind of abruptly relieved of the burden of having to carry it around....A nice original SWB, in any case!
