Only what I can say - nice badge
Looks good, with a nice aged patina
Very dark Patina! I can see why the title refers to a Schwarz!

The 'patina' has imo, been added with a brush rather more recently rather than being from the natural aging of the badge over time. If you look closely at the pic's of the obverse, you can clearly see 'dribbles' of whatever coating was applied going upwards from the bottom of the badge, especially on and around the swastika. This shows the badge was inverted when it was 'painted' and cannot be natural patina, it never looks like that.
My guess is the badge was just a plain grey zinc one, all the finish gone leaving only the dull base metal. Many of the Klein & Quenzer (65) badges are found like that, and someone chose to make this one more 'interesting' by messing with it, but front and back, the 'patina' is unconvincing. Show me another the same.

I must agree with Ned,mucked about with.
Those arnt bubbles but small chips, also it had some sort of grease or oil on it , so before I posted up a pic I gave it a wipe with some polish
So what looks like brush strokes going up the badge is me wiping all the crap of it with mr sheen lol
oh right.
We would also appreciate if you would post your photos right side up.
We dislike getting a sore neck.

Also, if it were a black grade, it would be hollow.
