    Hi everyone,

I've been offered a collection of EKII's and this wound badge. As I am just a beginner in militaria antiques, I would love the opinion of someone with more knowledge than I on this particular item.

The seller (an antique shop, but not in my area, so I can't get there to have a look unfortunately) also has a WW1 version, but the paintwork is poorer on that one, so I'm not overly interested. I will want to make an offer on the lot to the seller, so I'm hoping to get a deal for a much better price (this one is priced at approximately 35 euro - not sure if his expectation is realistic?).

    Thanks for any opinions

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Straight on photos are always best for the evaluation and authentication of any awards.
That being said, I do not see any problems with this wound badge. The asking price of 35 euros is not out of line for one in this condition.

Thanks for the quick reply Ralph Point taken on the photos, will try to get better ones in the future if anything else comes up.

Cheers for your opinion, it looked decent enough to me as well.

I didn't even think of that, I might get the guy to take them off before the sale

The badge arrived today (along with the EKII's) and it's great. Paint chips aside, it's in great shape, very happy with it. Thanks all!
