Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Silber mm92 with case
Hi Guy,
I bought this silver wound badge last weekend. I'm little bit confused! I saw same silver wound badge from same maker when a stamp has been placed on the left side.
What is a difference between them? Or one of them is fake, or just a late war?
And what do you think about the case?

It looks like a good Rucker & Sohn silver badge in original box to me.
I would be happy with that one as it looks to be a nice early tombac piece

It would go well with my cased Gold Wound Badge.
Yep, it's a good one for me but I think from these pics that it is a good quality fine zink type not tombac. See the colour of the base metal where the finish is worn. It is not at all yellow as tombac would be. Plus you can see signs if the typical bubbling under the finish so characteristic of zinc badges.by Saladin
Ruecker & Sohn badges are encountered with the maker mark off to one side as well as central under the pin.
A nice example.

From what little I've seen of Rucker & Sohne wound badges in the past, all of them are solid zinc.

Yes now I've looked on a bigger screen it is a zinc badge...still very nice
