thanks for your replies gentlemen only reason i asked is because when i checked on the net its says back of the helmet there is normally a blob so i thought could mine be a fake was it worth £20 then ?

It looks good to me in all aspects.
A nice piece and 20 pound is a fair price IMO.
My L/14 polished brass example and my L/21 in original black finish.


Sorry the images are in mixed order but I can't seem to fix it.Images 1 and 4 match,images 2 and 3 match.

that bump on that back of the helmet does not have to be there. in the absence of other red flags, you can not pin the badge as a fake because of the absence of that one feature.
