Me neither. Let's see what others say.

    Hello Gents
The Collectors Guild had one of these for sale a while ago. I am a sucker for a nice Verwundetenabzeichen
but this style didn't do it for me then, & it still doesn't do it for me now. It might be perfectly authentic, but that
iffy looking helmet on this particular type of badge just doesn't sit right with me.

    Regards

    Hello Dave
The helmet is obviously trying to be a M35, so, as you have already said, why are there chin strap posts on it at all?
It could be legitimate, as a type 1 badge, but the old gut feeling says "exercise caution".

Looks like the swastika is soldered on?

I noticed that disturbance around it too, Glenn. It almost seems as if it were added to an already existing badge by punching it in from the reverse side? The patina Inside the swastika on the reverse side looks different in color from the rest of the metal surrounding it. Definitely something amiss on this badge. I think that it's got far too many points of contention to it and is too controversial to accept.
