It's a strange one alright, the crude random pebbling and a rivit/pin below the swastika?

it should be a hybrid between the first pattern and the second pattern. They are produced in the first months of the war.

    Anyone heard of that?

    Hello JeZoCoH
In the first months of the war the M35 helmet was already an established design. You would have to ask yourself
the question as to why there would be chinstrap rivets on a so-called stop-gap badge if the helmet currently in use
at the time didn't have them?

    Regards
    Brett
