    Hi guys,

I'd really like some opinions on this gold wound badge.

It's very smooth feeling compared to the silver one I have which is in slightly decaying condition, so making me wonder what this is made out of? There are the hoped for wear points around the pin and catch.

    Any thoughts welcome.

    Thanks,

    Rich.

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for the comment, I was a bit worried because there are two pin types for this maker, do you know which pin style is used more?

    Rich.

    'Nuff sed!'

I like it too, a typical tombak piece from maker '30' - Hauptmünzenamt, Wien.

You can find these with the needle pin as above or the wide pin. I have no idea which is the more common. Maybe try a search on the forum and see which one crops up most?
