    Default Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold Real?

A new addition to my collection of wound badges. It is in very nice shape, maker marked 26 which is B.H. Mayer. Upon researching medal with the boards posts, I found a couple of exact matches of other B.H. Mayer gold wound badges. Board is a great source of info.

    Hello John,
I don't see any problems with this wound badge except the color looks odd for a gold version.
Maybe you could take another photo, not in direct sunlight?

Hi Ralph, my original photos were taken in bright sun light. That caused the very dull gold color. Here are some new pictures taken with inside spot lighting. They show the correct color. Thanks for your comment, glad to hear it is a keeper.

An original B.H. Mayer badge, but to me the gold color does not look right.

Possibly a B.H. Mayer silver badge.

Do you think it has been refinished Jonas?

Hi Ralph, I decided to use a different camera, for a closer true color match.

Maybe, hard to tell. I'm somewhat suspicious.
