Ralph surely L56 is Robert Hauschild. very nice badge though.

F&BL is a fairly common maker of wound badges but there are a great amount of variations out there.
With the large pebbling that yours has I think it is the transitional piece from when the badge was reverse die marked with 116.
Note how the features of yours is beginning to get a little weak.
The condition is very good.

Yes.
On the later L/56 badges the pebble background was of a finer pattern.
Yours has the big pebbles that was used in the first design or obverse by this maker that was normally marked with his 116 maker code.
