Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz help, please

Article about: Hello. I have had this for a while and never knew if it was authentic or not. Does anyone have any ideas? It has a number of 110 or possibly L10 in the helmet on the back. Thanks in advance

You could try using some Ren wax, it should help to protect the metal and reduce the effects of rusting

Such light rust as you have should be easily removed with a quick soak in an oxalic acid solution. Probably only 10 minutes or so of soaking should have the rust gone. then of course you will have bare metal left in those areas so as suggested above, a coat of renwax will seal it all up nice and tight.

Don't try and remove the rust, you will end up with a ruined badge. There is no way you can remove the rust without leaving a scar. If you want a non rusty badge there are thousands to choose from out there - go and buy one! Just keep the badge in conditions that will prevent the rust getting worse and you'll be fine.

That sounds good. Shopuld I place it in some sort of plastic case or baggie? Its been in an ammo box with other small stuff. Probably not the most conducive environment.

Theres no need for that, it can be displayed on a backboard or a small plastic easel
