    Are there anything special to look at to see if medals and pins are real?

    Good, original zinc Klein & Quenzer.

    Kevlar, that is a never ending question. You need to study originals, learn to identify their individual features. In the case of the above badge, try a search for '65' in this sub forum and compare what you find to this one.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    i think it wise to put at least as much effort into studying fakes.

    I will respectfully disagree with my friend templehof.

    I believe that the study of originals should be the most important thing to spend your time on. Learn the originals and the fakes will reveal themselves. I just can't see the point of studying something that isn't real when you could put that time into studying something that is.

    You might be a world expert on fake badges in a few years time but I would rather be a world expert on something original.
