Hi .Strange it seems to me the helmet, the lower part of the helmet is not straight but curved (front is curved down and the back of helmet slightly up)

You have to remember that the first pattern 1936/9 wound badge used an imperial helmet in the design
& that there were several variations. What you show here looks fine.

The term "Legion Condor" is misleading when applied to these badges as only
1 silver & 182 black were awarded after the Spanish civil war. I think the term
"first pattern" is more accurate.
