Got these in an auction.
The makermark on the solid piece is 65.
The one on the left feels flimsy, any thoughts?

The K&Q badge in silver is good, it's known as the 'Late War Type' to differentiate it from the other solid zinc badges they made earlier on. The type 1 design is not really a version I'm too familiar with, but I don't see any glaring anomalies, but best wait for other opinions on that one.

'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'

Thanks again, Ned
both look fine to me.
Thanks
Had a nice deal on the lot then
The type 1 badge is not one that I am comfortable with. A search of the internet will
show this particular design, that is, helmet shape, bow, & wreath with its missing
berries at the 11.o'clock position rampant in all guises. They will be found as Imperial,
Imperial cut-out, First type & first type cut-out. I have also seen these marked L54
for Schauerte & Hohfeld Third Reich Era Imperial replacement pieces. This they are
definitely not. Here is a link to a site that sells reproduction badges. Items GER006 &
GER016 show Latvian made Imperial badges with the same obverse design. I pulled
two of these from the collection because of uncertainty. There are just too many of
this design in different configurations for my liking.
Reproduction German Medals/Badges
Edit: I should have added that the K&Q is good.
