I was browsing one of my favorite auction sites and noticed a sell for 50 unissued Panzerkampfabzeichen, maker marked "Hermann Aurich, Dresden A16" and "50 stuck Panzerkampfabzeichen glanzverzinkt".WWII GERMAN BOX 48 PANZER ASSAULT BADGES UNISSUED | Proxibid®

Is this the real thing?

dose not look good to me, i dont like the finish on the back, and even when in box for 65 years ther is still a minimum of tarnish on the polished areas

Yes, absolutely. These badges and the packaging are original examples and a superb find.
Finds like this one do happen occasionally and I'm sure there are still a few more out there.
Remember the 'Russian Hoard' EK1s? 'The Deschler hoard'?

Nice find. I think these were preserved by being in just the right conditions, probably in a low humidity, dark environment.
