Heer Panzerkampfabzeichen - silber
Hi again,
I have tried to find out the maker of this unmarked Panzerkampfabzeichen by comparing the back setup, but I cannot find any match. I’m not sure if it original or not either, but I actually like the quality.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks
Jonas

Re: Heer Panzerkampfabzeichen - silber
I believe this setup makes it a Steinhauer & Luck. Hopefully one of the others can confirm.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Heer Panzerkampfabzeichen - silber
Hi Jonas, Adrian is correct. An original S&L made badge.
These are later war badges when they started to crimp the hinge in place in order to speed up production and lessen costs. The pin itself here is an earlier style and these were used until stocks ran out. The later versions used a pin with a horizontal hinge.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Heer Panzerkampfabzeichen - silber
Indeed an S&L silver. One of the best PKA makers IMO. Here's another variant, you can see where the old hinge guides are.
