    Although I have shown this badge in the collections forum I am aware that examples of this badge are rarely shown on this forum. Therefore for future reference I am creating a separate thread to show this fairly rare award especially in this condition with no wear or attempts at cleaning which normally do a very good job at removing the silver wash. Although the photo's fail to show this feature very well all high points and the haken cross are polished.

    Hi Ralph and thanks for the comment.Like you I try and avoid the word 'mint' as I find in this hobby it is often used to describe an item that is anything but..

    I agree, a lovely untouched badge is superb condition, very hard to beat Robin! Some might be interested to know that the polished highlights on these badges was achieved by using a small agate stone to bring out the lustre of Nickel silver base material.
