Ok, a question for you all, is this silver Panzerkampf Abzeichen by Herman Alrich................. a real one, or a fake one ........................ please give reasons for your choice. Weight is 32.3gr. measurements Height 60mm Width 41mm

Stewy, Ade, and the motley crew are excluded from this one. for the time being

There are some pretty good Aurich Panzerkampf Abzeichen fakes out there, if this one has pits in it, like the picture suggests, you can forget about it...

If possible, more detailed pic's, but I'am really sceptic about this one...

I would like to hazzard a wild guess at this being fake.
1.Addler head and breast feathers lack detail
2.Tank track wheels dont look right?
3.Detail in the grass and rocks?
I am just learning about these badges and would be interested to know if i`ve learnt anything at all so far lol.

Hi John. It's a fake, Hermann Aurich never used the ball hinge hardware.

I was going to see what happened, but not a lot playing ball? perhaps it is not a good one to do. You're spot on with the hardware, this is probably the most dangerous fake out there, and it resides in many collections as being real.

The detail on the front is BETTER than an original, weight and measurements are correct, its just the ball hinge on the back

Sorry just trying to help folks learn. I'm sure there were lots out there that would have got it, but then there were lots who wouldn't.
