    Thanks Jonas. I know they made a copy of these with a (cut out swastika) just not sure what to look for.

    I thought the catch curved the other way for Wuster?

    After looking on past post, I dont think so. May have the wrong maker? The makers mark is inside the panzer wheels on the right.

    If authentic, this badge is made by Assman.

    Yes, you are correct. It is an Assman, and not Wurster.

    Looks o.k. to me, the copper type finish is atypical for Assmann PAB's, the question is what's it's base metal, cupal or zinc? Cupal weigh around 12g and zinc around 20ish. It would be interesting if a clear photo of the pin tensioner could be shown with the pin in the open position, as this is often a giveaway on fake versions, as is a bent/dinged left trackguard. There is a little wear in the exact area where this occurs on the obverse of the above badge, but I think it's genuine and not done to hide the error found on repro's.

    Thanks you very much for your response Ned. I will return to the store and take some better pictures. They weere closing and I was rushed. Sorry about the mistake of the maker at first, I didn't see the mark.
