I don't think it is a Staegemeir. But I'm terrible at id'ing "known" fakes. I don't study them so don't know what to look for...
That said, it looks like both of the Staegemeir's you posted have the "organized" grass pattern and not the "Chaotic" grass.

Ok brother just so I know I'm picking up what you re putting down. Ned s is the "organized grass" with the V seagull like shaped blades? And the badge in the OP w/o the V blades is the "chaos pattern"? If that's correct when I nod my head you hit it. LOL. The two lower badges in post 10 are the OP's and the Stagemeir fake (better quality photo) they both seem to have the same grass pattern to me?
Edit: I see now the single blade of grass atop the rock you refer to, the Staegemier piece does not have it. You are right one good pic of the back would go along way, which make me all the more suspicious.

These are a favourite of mine;
One of the more expensive types so I still wouldn't buy without better pictures front and back just for peace of mind.

Well I was close. Most surely a massive, but I thought it might be the zinc version given what I thought was some "pest". Maybe it is just gunk. Reverse will tell for sure.
But except for that odd blade of grass, it matches well to the originals.
