Re: Panzerkampfabzeichen FLL43 PAB
Hi Matej and welcome to the forum. Thank you for posting your badge.
I think this is an original piece but wait for some of the more experienced guys to comment as these badges aren't my area. There are a few features that match known wartime examples compared to some of the fakes I've seen so it stands a very good chance.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

For everyone not familiar with this fake, can you give any more details?

Details are in red circle. If it's possible please for better photos of eagle's head.

I agree with you old chap. There are slight variants in these fakes as well, due to the die strike, but your point is sound. I've pointed out a couple more errors or rather 'dings' that appear to some extent on these fakes at different times, below. The main flaw to look for is actually only just visible in the O.P's photo of the reverse (deliberately so?), and that is a big flaw on the top of the right wing, so i've added a better pic of that as well.
On the obverse side, besides the left track wear, there is pitting on the right wing that i've shown too.
The catch plate on top or just below the recess on the badge is also nearly always seen on repro's, whereas on originals the catches are nearly always fitted within them, and often flatwire, not round.
Regards, Ned.
