These are not a strong point of mine and I would like to see some daylight photos Dimas but I think it stands a very good chance of being exactly what you say, an unmarked JFS.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I like it! The only area I can't make out clearly as I'm view via my phone is the logs on the left hand side of the badge viewing from the front. How many ends are going into the wreath?

It looks good to me!
Hi
Can you post a close up of a side view of the catch.

This badge conforms to me as 100% original! The reverse is great and the rivits, catch, pin assembly and those small bubbles which some think is no good are right with these badges. The obverse is well detailed as it should be and the condition is great!!I sold one two years ago but with some wear to the wreath and got four figures for it.If you like and i only state this so you can see the #'d 25,50,75,100 check German Combat Awards.Com and scroll down to PAB'S and then you will see.Carl
One other thing to note.On the top of the turret there are distinct portails and they are square and repros show them as fuzzy, just one way to catch the bad ones.Number box is always seperate from the badge and not a struck piece of the badge!Rivits should be sharp and not mashed down.If you go to the 50 numbered badge look for these flaws and the same for the rare #75 and very rare #100.These will set you back some big money so beware!
