Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting.
The badge looks like it should be a good one but somehow I'm not entirely convinced. I've just had a look on various sites for this badge and I haven't come across one with the vein missing from the oakleaf as pictured below. Can anyone else add their thoughts please?

I'm with you on that observation Adrian.
AS is still an unknown maker, and it appears to mimic a type 2 badge, but there are a couple of other concerns as well as the vein missing you pointed out. Could be ok, but for me there are too many red flags

I came across this original unissued silver PAB with the similar upper vein missing in the oak leafs. Although its a different maker. This PAB was part of a case of 50 unissued badges someone purchased for around $13K. It appears that this style with the vein issue could be legit.

That would be the only similarity because many other details from the tank to the grass to the eagle to the oakleaves are very different.

The first one is a fake. The second one is a Hermann Aurich badge. Here is an original Adolf Scholze to compare:

No detail in the driving lights and dumbell track links are two red flags that lept out at me.
