Panzerkampfabzeichen POW Art

Hi Warbuff and welcome to the forum!

An interesting piece, based upon a Panzer Kampf Abzeichen or Tank Battle Badge. Can you post a pic of the reverse please? What size is it?

Is it made of wood or some other material? I can see the grain on the base but not on the badge part, painted perhaps?

Quite likely another piece of trench or POW art and another nice piece, it has a 'rustic' look which is quite appealing.

Do you know any history behind it or where it came from?

i was told it was carved by a german pow. it is my favorite item i have in my collection. do you know how much it might be worth?

I genuinely have no idea what this might be worth. I've never seen one for sale so can't even give you an estimate based upon a previous sale.

I guess it's whatever someone is willing to pay. A collector with an interest in the Panzers will place a higher value on it than anyone else but you're not going to retire on the proceeds.

As it's your favourite item though, I doubt you will be selling it and I don't blame you!
