Panzerkampfabzeichen, real?

Hey guys, here is a Panzer assault badge i am considering buying. The guys says it is 100% original..... with all the good repros coming into the market, it is hard to tell anymore. I am only a 2 yr collector, so i still have alot to learn! my main concern is the price..... $125.00 So, real or fake?

First look to me says ok, but with a MM badge like that that is a very low price. I would say it depends on where it is being offered for sale and I would wait to see some of the Panzerkampf Abzeichen collectors speak on it as well. No big red flags go up for me though I would like a better pic of the edges on the badge.

Jeff, this piece is being offered by a private individual, not a dealer, or on ebay, or anything like that, but by a fellow collector . This is all the pics he gave me for now.

Save your money, this one is a fake.

There are several issues with this badge but lets start with the ball hinge.
Aurich did not use a ball hinge.

This exact same badge was discussed recently here. It was called a fake there too. I suggest you point the seller in the direction of the forum and let him read the comments.
