Are you trying to get someone to authenticate it?
It's very unclear from what you're saying, but assuming you are, I think it looks a bit dull to me, though looking at the condition it could just be from wear.

It's not the type 1.1.3 made from tombak, that's exceedingly rare and has a different hinge than this one. Looking at the hinge, it's clearly the later wraparound type with the small base trimmed at the corners. That makes it a type 1.1.2b. The badge is actually made from nickel silver, and the odd coppery/brass like appearance is 100% typical of a ground dug badge made in this material, what stories could it tell I wonder?
