What is that!? Denazified badge

Well not much to be said here.... paid 50 cents for it... Figured that since it had been denazified (rather crudly I must say!) it stood a chance of being a real badge.
What do you think?

I have my doubt's on authenticity of this badge. Detail is not what I would except to see and pin hinge has been jacked with and catch has strange accelerated rust. Better pics would help, but as said it is in bad shape.

IMO this could have been done on a reverse electrolysis and used as the Sacrificial anode to produce this affect. I wont elaborate on details as such the fakers need no further help.

And as I said I have my doubt's on authenticity of this badge so I would like to hear further.
