What is that!? Denazified badge

Article about: Well not much to be said here.... paid 50 cents for it... Figured that since it had been denazified (rather crudly I must say!) it stood a chance of being a real badge. What do you think? La

From these photos and the condition of the badge it's very hard to make a call one way or the other. My initial thoughts were the same as Eric's but to artificially age and muck around with the reverse such as this on a fake badge makes you wonder if it isn't original after all. I just don't see the point of making a fake, de-nazifying it and then ruining it further by re-soldering the hinge and wrecking the catch area.
It would only have any value as a relic and for 50 cents it's not going to hurt financially.

Maybe Larry could post some straight on images in natural light so we might be able to make a judgement?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Hi Adrian I see this done more everyday to pass on to the unknowing. It will give that hint of age and still be able to post on Ebay.
