Hi fellow collectors. I´m in the need of some opinions of these two badges.
IMO they look like fine originals but there is always good to here second opinions from more knowledgeable collectors before buying
Thank you in advance

Hi Mike, while both appear authentic, my concern would be the finsh to the Minesucherabzeichen. I wonder if this has been finished?
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Ade and thanks for your input. That was a good point! With finished do you mean repainted or heavy polished ?
You may excuse my bad english
I can't say anything about the Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen so hopefully someone else can offer their opinions on that one but the Minensucherabzeichen is an original by an unknown maker and is commonly called 'the flat back'. No maker has been attributed to this type of badge as yet but it is thought to originate from Ludenscheid.
I'm not sure about the finish, Ade might well be correct but I quite like it and it's not beyond reason that it might also be a well preserved zinc badge.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
both badges are original IMO
And if you drop Jamie an E mail, he'll probably give you more information on them
Thanks a lot Adrian. That is what the sellers claims. A near mint late war production he says. .The Allgemeine Sturmabzeichen seems to be good due to Ade
Thanks a lot to you too John
