    New addition to my collection.It should be Otto Schickle or Bernhard Mayer in tombak.
    It looks genuine but i would like to hear from you
    It has so good finish that i actually don't see tombak.Only on left wing I can see a little "gold".
    Is it tombak? Please take a look and let me know.

    The tool marking on the top of the pin and the typical catch compared to the round wire Schickle examples make me pretty certain that this is indeed a hollow buntmetall (1.12.2.) GAB by Mayer.

    Big Ned what can you tell me about comparison buntmetal -tombak?are they close in quality?What is fair price for this GAB?

    Hi Johnny, I've answered your p.m. regarding this.For everyone else, tombak and buntmetall are basically the same, a brass alloy made up of copper and zinc, or bronze alloy made up of copper and tin. Tombak is an alloy with at least a 67% copper content.
