You do see them now & again Al. I was real lucky with this one,it's mint. They go for around $1850-2000 depending on condition. Without blowing my own trumpet too much mine's the best i've seen,i think. Stewy S

Stewy , congrats on finding that one , and wow , didn`t realize the going rate for them ( obviously quite rare ) , but you can see the difference in quality , it looks fab What metal is it constructed from ?
Al
Zinc badge & steel hardware. Here's better pics. Stewy S
Actually,the catch may be buntmetal,i can't remember. Stewy S
As i said , it`s fab Stewy and thanks for showing it
Al
On thise one you can clearly see the difference of metals; one suffers more of the corrosion then the other.
The more i look Kris, the more i tend to agree. While R.K's weren't of the highest quality, well not the solid zinckers. The one that started the thread has a couple of "questionable" points. Pin's ends very abruptly at the catch, usually they are pointed & longer. Bayonet seems mis-shapen (even on ground dug, they don't distort). Rust like spots on the reverse are unusual for a zinc badge. It's not one i'd feel comfortable with in my collection. Stewy S
