I purchased this repaired GAB to try out zinc pest improvement using vaseline. i covered it for two days and then carefully wiped it off. top set are the before pics.

It appears the catch has been poorly repaired.

yes it is not very pretty but it does a good job holding the pin. It is like a thick copper colored piece of wire.
