I bought Frank Heukemes' reference book 'German Awards of World War II, Volume 1, THE GENERAL ASSAULT BADGE' which is invaluable in determining authenticity of such awards (in addition to utilizing the search function of course).

Thanks gentlemen. I originally purchased the first example I posted, but the catch was damaged while being packaged-up for shipment. So, the 2nd example is being sent in it's place instead.
