70+ views and no comment? May be I can help. It's as you say, a genuine RK Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen. This one is a 1.9.3 die 'A' type as opposed to the later die 'B' that was shown yesterday in this thread by Mike:
Unmarked allgemeines sturmabzeichen
The main differences are that the die 'A' has finer detailing on the obverse, the oakleaves and acorns are better defined. Also the eagles head is still intact, the progressive flaw in the beak yet to show. The reverse side is noticably different from the 'B' badge by not having as deeply a 'scooped' area around the grenade and bayonet, the crimping method is slightly different, and the hardware isn't usually tombak as it is on the die 'B'. Take a look at the link to compare the differences.
Regards, Ned.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
