It looks like a B.H. Mayer/Schickle to me John.
You can compare with my example here.
B.H. Mayer/O. Schickle "Attributed" Hollow Tombak with Wrap Around Hinge and Flat Wire Catch.

Sorry, I'm not fischer, but I agree it's a fake. The punched holes in the sling are too round compared to an original badge in my opinion. This has always been a known "tell" on the bogus Schickle (They're no longer classified as B. H. Mayer) IAB's.

I agree with the others here, this one is a fake.

By itself, it does look like an original and this one has fooled many.
When compared next to a known original, incorrect details are distinctly visible.

Besides the stock details already mentioned, here are a few more;

Head sculpt
Breast feathers
Material between swazy and k98
Kar98k details
Ribbon bow details
Acorn details
