Sorry a fake IMO. Stewy
Stewy beat me to it, I was trying to find one with this type of hardware and so far I am unable to.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
I am not sure about the piece myself? I have only 4 of them. I have a GWL that I know is good.
Here is my other unmarked bronzeIAB
2nd ok,1st open mind.
2nd's ok. Stewy
This one is a fake i'm sorry to say , I have never seen a catch like that one with that nasty "line" across the obverse rifle butt. Plus for a hollow it looks "dumpy"!! Leon
Any ideas on the maker of the second badge pictured guys?
Cheers, Ade.

Hi Guys
I agree with what Stewy has written...The first is a fake and the second is an original.
The first example is a fake considered by some to have originated out of the U.K. some years back. Re-enactor sites used to sell it and hardware did vary.
The second one is an original and is referred to as a Frank & Reif Design. It closely matches the F&R marked solids with the obverse details being virtually the same.
The reverse does differ as the one posted by "humble collector" is a flat back example and the maker marked F&R has a slight semi hollow reverse.
An interesting side note of the maker marked examples is the mis-spelling of the name F(r)ank with the maker mark spelled on the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen as FANK & REIF, Stuttgart.
Here is my bronze maker marked example to compare.
Best Regards, fischer
