A new addition to my display arrived...I've been on the lookout for a representative example with some shine left - and at an acceptable price of course - This one has a heavy feel to it, and in hand this badge looks better than my photos suggest, lol...I'd be very thankful for any input as to manufacturer...!
    cheers, Glenn

    Hello Glenn

Looks to be a nice unmarked Deschler & Sohn, München design.

I'm of the opinion these unmarked examples with the flat backs are of a higher quality than the semi-hollow L/10 marked examples produced for and sold in the LDO retail shops.

Congrats on another fine original for your collection...

    Best regards, fischer

Good looking badge Glenn. Especially nice when
all the silvering hasn't worn off.........

    Hello Glenn,
It is a nice looking badge but with the amount of finish that is left on it I would expect to see a lot more detail.
The holes in the rifle sling look very weak as do the feet of the eagle and the acorns.
Is the eagle having a snarl? Or it may be the angle of the photograph.
I have compared the silhouette on the back and there are some quite outstanding variations on other badges that I see...unless it is down to the hand finishing.
I just don't know how many obverse variations there are of the Deschler attributed badges.

    All the best
    Doug
