Opinions please, i like the badge but the pin on the back is looking kinda new comparing the badge with its nice patina.
Also think is kinda short, is it genuine?

Exactly as I would expect to see a badge from R.S.S. A nice addition in my opinion.
i think it looks new because its been cleaned very well but you can still see some brown on parts
i think it looks good and has a good chance of being an original

A bronze RSS. Pics could be better to do it justice. Stewy
As stated, a bronze grade from the firm of Richard Simm & Sohne.
My opinion is the badge is a very nice original in above average condition and finish, hardware and the pin are as it should be.
My example has the same color tone to pin, hinge and catch.
Congrats on adding a difficult badge to track down.

Gents thank you all for sharing your knowledge
I've seen a few on the net with the same short pin but wanted to be sure......so posted this one!
It's a very nice example in very good condition. It hasn't been cleaned, this is the original finish in original condition.
