Mario does seem to be a stand-up guy but you are correct to seek validation before purchase. The badge seems fine to me but i would want to check my reference material when I get home from work before making a formal statement and potentially advising you badly.

Hi Leon,
It's a very nice type III Scholze badge, no issues I can see.
Regards, Ned.

Hello Fallschirmjäger,
in my opinion it's a nice original IAB, but the maker is not Adolf Scholze. According to a former employee he never used this maker mark. We don't know yet which maker used this AS in triangle maker mark.
Best regards
Sven

Hi Sven,
Of course you're right, there is no proof at this time it was Adolf Scholze who produced these marked badges, although it was a serious contender I believe until recent new evidence points otherwise. I forgot.

Thank you gentlemen , as long as the peice is genuine(disputed manufacturer or not) , thats good enough for me. It will be interesting if the "real" manufacturers details come to light!! Leon.
-
I agree with other opinions Leon, a nice original AS in triangle Infanterie Sturmabzeichen!
