    Hello everyone,

I recently bought this sturmabzeichen on a small marked. Now i am curious if i bought an origional or a fake since i am not collecting for a long time i don't know al the little details to look at. I have been looking on the internet to find some clues but i haven't come far yet. Luckily i didn't pay a lot.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

The badge looks original to me. But it has been repainted.

Others will be able to tell you much more about it.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm not keen, obverse has poor detailing. Hardware looks a little odd too. Stewy

I agree with Stewy...looks to be a fake.

The pictures are poor but from what I can see, several details are wrong/missing when compared to the attributed Steinhauer & Lück examples.

    Hello,

I have been cleaning up the medal and i must say the yellow/gold looking paints came right off. But the paint it has now doesn't so i think this i the original paint. Here are some pics.

    Looks much better now.

Maybe Stewy and Fisher can take another look now. I value their opinions.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the better photo's after cleaning the badge...

Unfortunately, my opinion is the same; this one is the so-called S&L Fake.

Here are some recognized originals with different hardware set ups in use to compare.

    Best Regards, fischer
