Infanterie Sturmabzeichen "Broken Stem"

This beautiful piece just came in the mail. After I have confirmed my suspicion (Reili thank you: D), I had to buy the piece.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I want to educate myself on the ISA area now something

.

ISA silver "Broken Stem" (unknown manufacturer) which is found less often with square tiles.

I hope you may well see the light in which art this piece is unworn. In daylight it would have been nice .....

Great condition. The 'Broken Stem' Infanterie Sturmabzeichen has many different rear set ups, but this is a more uncommon one I think, with the rectangular catch plate. Collecting all of the known versions of this badge will keep you busy for a long time, but this one's a good start.

I agree with the others, you have acquired a very nice Broken Stem example with the rectangular shaped catch plate...Congrats on finding such a nice example...

As Ned states, the Broken Stem variants feature several different hardware set ups, including the so-called "Pforzheim-P Catch and a Screw-Back example.

Most of the Broken Stem IAB's are a true Flat backs, but there are some that have a concave or recess to the reverse of the k98k. The recess size and shape is basically random and noticeable variation can be seen between these recessed examples.
