Hi, showing this new acquisition, thanks go to Militaria Berlin for this one, a great dealer IMHO.

Don't buy a lot of awards but just wanted a nice example and I prefer Tombak over zinc when possible. My understanding is that Otto Schickle only made badges until about July 1941 when they lost the government contract. I also like the detail in this one.

It has the polished highlights seen in some early war Tombak badges (understandable how that went out of fashion as the war progressed...), and I doubt it has seen much if any active service, perhaps unissued or survived on a walking out tunic.

Very nice IAB. That's a beauty. I recently bought a GAB from Christian von Eicke myself.

I have a small pile of those boxes because my favorite auction house uses them. Not sure if having a pile of them is a good sign or a bad one...
