Nice Weidmann IAB in silber Kevin! Has The 'Lily Pad' style hinge been re soldered at some point do you think?

    Regards, Ned.

Maybe it's just the picture, but I agree with Ned. To me it looks to have been re soldered at some point. Anywho, still a very nice Infanterie Sturmabzeichen, congrats.

I'm not stating an opinion that it has been re soldered, just a question asking if it has. As pointed out, it may just be the picture that could be construed to suggest that it is a possibility.

    Hi Guys

This one is a good mm Wiedmann with the lily pad style hinge. This one has retained it's finish nicely for a later made Wiedmann. In comparison to other solid Wiedmanns, these weigh slightly less, finish is usually worn and are visibly thinner when looking at the sides or using a dial caliper for thickness. Sloppy or rushed soldered attachments are also a trait of this variant and it's my opinion the hinge is most likely original.

    Best regards, fischer

    Hello there,

Textbook reverse hardware and a good chance it was re-soldered.
