Hey everyone,

Decided to pick up my first infantry badge yesterday. The catch is broken, but I still liked the looks of it - and it was cheap . I hope I did well. By looking at the other examples, this is an unmarked Assman?

Hello John

As stated, this is an original example. The maker is still unknown, although there has been some speculation that this is a Brehmer product. Nothing has been found to substantiate this theory.

Collectors refer to this one as the "Egghead" variant due to the egg like shape of the eagles head.
There is also a hollow Egghead example and base material is zinc as well.
