    Hi everyone,

New to warrelics.eu. I just started collecting WW2 German militaria.
Bought this Infantry Assault Badge from a Warsaw flea-market last month.
I am concerned about it's authenticity, as something doesn't look right.
Your help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

You are right to be suspicious as this one is a fake.
The soft, pitted details and the hardware set-up are the most noticeable to me.

    Best Regards, fischer

    Many thanks for your confirmation.
By the way, I am sorry for not using the proper German names for the awards.
I do have one question, though.
Could Wehrmacht Heer and Waffen SS artillery troops be awarded the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber or was it strictly for infantry with the Bronze for mechanised troops.
