A recent addition to my IAB collection.
This example is a solid zinc badge that has a wrap around, sheet metal hinge that is fitted into a recess in the reverse of the badge. The round wire catch is attached to a rectangular base plate which is also fitted into a recess in the reverse.
This one still retains most of it's silver finish that has taken on a darker tone over the years.

I really like this recessed hardware example and as you state, it's associated with the firm of Gottlieb & Wagner.
This is one of two examples found with the G&W addressed blue paper packets.

This example is the rarer of the two with the crimped in hardware variant more easily found.
